Gratitude Ritual

Gratitude is like a flame that can light up even the darkest corners of our lives. When we let gratitude shine, it illuminates the path to creating a life that we truly love. With each candle-lit reflection, we ignite a spark of positivity that has the potential to transform our entire perspective.

“Grateful to all that are reading this”

When we express gratitude for all the blessings in our lives, we not only attract more of them, but we also radiate positivity that touches the lives of those around us. It becomes a contagious energy that uplifts and inspires others.

As we continue on this gratitude journey, we will explore the impact of gratitude on our relationships, career, and overall well-being. We will uncover the magic of gratitude and how it can unlock endless possibilities for growth and success.

Get ready to unleash the power of gratitude and watch as your life transforms into a masterpiece of joy, fulfillment, and love. Let your light shine brightly and embrace the abundance that comes with a grateful heart.

A few things you will need before we begin:

  1. An Intentional Space:

This is an area in your home where you feel safe and supported in your practice. It can be as big or small as you desire or have room for.

  2. Pillar Candle(s)

Your pillar candle is going to be your symbolic tool for this practice. Make sure you have a lighter or matches as well.

  3. Cozy Environment

This is just to say you feel comfortable where you are sitting and don’t feel either too hot or cold. If you need blankets and pillows have that set up so you can focus on the practice.

Your intentional space can include sitting in a chair, whatever works for you.

Now that you are all set up it is time to begin.

Get comfortable in your intentional space, first, just focus on your breath. Have a soft gaze look at the items in your intentional space, whatever memory or feeling they have attached to them. As you begin to relax let’s start by taking deeper breaths in and out. Just sit and breathe here for a couple of minutes.

As your mind starts to settle I invite you to light your candles and set an intention. As you strike the match or flick the light begin by saying, “I am igniting (whatever your intention is for this practice).”

I.e. “I am igniting gratitude into my life.”

It can be as in-depth or simple as you like but make sure it is something that resonates with you.

After setting the intention, if you are comfortable close your eyes. If closing your eyes is difficult have a soft gaze pointing downward but not focusing on anything.

Breathing deeper, start to listen to what comes up. If it is a happy thought or memory finish it with what you are grateful from that experience. If it is a harder memory or something painful, listen without judgment and say “I am grateful for the lessons this experience taught me, and now I release it.”

Stay in this practice for as long as you want. If one memory is good enough for you that is fine, if you want to keep going that’s great too.

I challenge you at the end of this practice to write down 3 things you are grateful for. Do this practice daily.
